Bilaspur: The High Court has issued a new roster for the smooth conduct of judicial proceedings. This roster will remain effective from July 3, 2026, until further orders. Under the new roster, the allocation of cases among various Division Benches and Single Benches has been reorganized. Additionally, new responsibilities have been assigned to the Registry’s officers and staff. Under this new roster, the Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal will hear Public Interest Litigations (PILs), writ appeals, habeas corpus petitions, criminal appeals, capital punishment references, criminal contempt cases, petitions regarding the quashing of FIRs, and specially assigned matters.
Meanwhile, the Division Bench comprising Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal and Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal has been assigned all criminal cases that have not been allocated to any other Division Bench. The Bench comprising Justice Sanjay Agrawal and Justice Narendra Kumar Vyas will hear acquittal appeals pending since 2016.
Furthermore, the Division Bench comprising Justice Parth Pratim Sahu and Justice Sachin Singh Rajput will hear civil matters, company appeals, first appeals in matrimonial cases, tax-related matters, writ petitions against tribunal orders, and cases falling under the Commercial Appellate Division.
