Raipur: A major employment opportunity has emerged for the educated unemployed youth of Chhattisgarh. A two-day state-level job fair is being organized in the capital, Raipur, by the Department of Skill Development, Technical Education, and Employment. This job fair will be held on October 7 and 8, 2026, at the Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Budhapara.
So far, 36 employers and placement agencies have reported 8,720 vacancies to the department for this fair. Youth holding qualifications such as 10th and 12th grade, ITI, Diploma, Engineering, B.Sc. (Agriculture), and other undergraduate and postgraduate degrees (including MBA/MCA) are eligible to apply for these positions. The department states that it is also in contact with other industrial and commercial establishments, so the number of vacancies may increase.
Opportunities ranging from manufacturing to healthcare
Job opportunities across various sectors will be available at the state-level job fair. These include manufacturing, technical, engineering, electrical, automobile, sales and marketing, banking and finance, office work and HR, customer service, healthcare, security, logistics and delivery, and agriculture/agri-business.
Available positions include roles such as machine operator, assembly operator, fitter, welder, electrician, electric meter technician, maintenance electrician, mechanical engineer, quality inspector (QA/QC), sales executive/officer, computer operator, customer care executive, telecaller, and relationship manager.
Additionally, positions for nursing staff, caretakers, security guards, security supervisors, drivers, delivery boys, bike riders, and picker-packers are also available. Opportunities for apprentices and trainees in various trades will also be provided.
Vacancies by sector: According to the department, the vacancies include approximately 4,800 positions in the technical and manufacturing sectors, 1,600 in logistics and transport, 650 in security, and 580 in healthcare and care services.

How to apply via the e-Rozgar portal
Candidates can view details of available vacancies by visiting erojgar.cg.gov.in. They can select a position based on their qualifications and interests and apply online.
To do this, candidates must first register on the portal and update their profiles. Subsequently, they can apply for their preferred position. Once the application process is complete, they must download and print their admit card.
Based on the profiles and applications registered on the portal, respective employers may shortlist candidates and conduct preliminary selections.
Which documents should be carried to the job fair?
Candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card, an identity proof, educational and technical certificates, an employment registration card, a resume (bio-data), and passport-sized photographs to the job fair. Experience certificates should also be carried, if applicable.
Candidates are advised to bring both the original copies and photocopies of all necessary documents. Selected Youths to Receive Offer Letters on October 8
A program to distribute offer letters to the selected youths is scheduled for October 8, 2026—the second day of the job fair. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will be the chief guest at the event, while the Minister for Skill Development and Employment, Guru Khushwant Saheb, will preside over the proceedings.
Hemant Ramesh Nandanwar (IAS), Director of Employment and Training, stated that the department is in constant contact with other major industries and employers to ensure that the maximum number of youths are provided with employment opportunities.
