Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has made a significant statement regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). He announced that a meeting of the committee constituted under the chairmanship of former Supreme Court Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai would be held, following which the UCC would be passed during the upcoming winter session.
Speaking to the media before departing for Karnataka, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai commented on the Congress party’s protests, stating that Congress members have resorted to stone-pelting, much like what is seen in Kashmir. While everyone has the right to protest in a democracy, Congress members have taken to stone-pelting in a manner similar to the incidents in Kashmir. Action will certainly be taken against those who take the law into their own hands.
Regarding his visit to Karnataka, the Chief Minister mentioned that a Golden Jubilee celebration event is being organized today at Satya Sai Gram in Karnataka. He added that he would also be meeting with various eminent personalities on this occasion.
