Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: How many culprits are there in the rape and murder case of the lady doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and when will these culprits be punished. These are some questions that are burning in the minds of people across the country including West Bengal after this brutal murder. The question is also being raised that when will the CBI investigation of this case be completed. When News18 India tried to know the answer from the officials associated with the CBI, they told on the condition of anonymity that this case is now in its final stage.

Sanjay Roy Identified as Prime Accused, DNA Report Crucial

Sources said that in the investigation so far, only Sanjay Roy has emerged as the main accused in this incident. They said that CBI has enough evidence to file a charge sheet against Sanjay Roy. The DNA report has already reached CBI, which was sent to AIIMS for final opinion, where a panel of doctors has studied this report thoroughly and this final report will be sent back to CBI soon.

CBI to Conclude Investigation, Roy Sole Suspect

Sources claim that after AIIMS’ final opinion on the DNA report comes, the CBI will soon conclude the investigation in this case. According to sources, the investigation so far has revealed that only Sanjay Roy was involved in this rape and murder. No other person was there with him.

Over 100 Statements Recorded, Polygraph Tests Conducted

CBI has recorded the statements of more than 100 people in this case so far. In this case, polygraph test of more than 10 people was a part of CBI’s SOP, so that no part of the crime remains incomplete in the charge sheet. CBI wanted to confirm even the tiniest doubt in this case, so CBI got polygraph test of more than 10 people done.

Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: Know what happened on the night of the trainee doctor’s death?

According to CBI sources, the female trainee doctor and two colleagues had dinner around midnight. After which they went to the seminar room and watched Neeraj Chopra’s javelin throw competition in the Olympics on TV. After this, at around 2 o’clock in the night, both the colleagues went to sleep, where the doctors on duty were resting, while the female trainee doctor stayed in the seminar room. At the same time, the intern says that he was in the room. Actually, these three rooms – seminar hall, sleep and intern room are located close to each other on the third floor.

Later, at around 9.30 am, one of the postgraduate trainee doctors, with whom the victim had dinner the previous night, went to see her before the ward rounds began. According to the Kolkata Police timeline, he saw her body from a distance in a semi-nude state. He then informed his colleagues and senior doctors about the incident.
