Jaipur Water Bill New Rules: There is good news for lakhs of drinking water consumers in Jaipur city. The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has developed a new water billing system for Jaipur, which will apply to water bills issued from August 10 onwards. With the implementation of this new system, consumers will no longer need to visit the water department office for bill-related information or payment services.
Approximately 6 lakh registered water consumers in the city will benefit from this digital system. The department claims that this will make the billing process more transparent and convenient.
Access Full Billing History by Scanning the QR Code
Under the new system, a unique QR code will be provided on every water bill. According to Rakesh Sharma, a representative of the billing agency, when a consumer scans this QR code with their mobile phone for the first time, their mobile number will be automatically registered in the system. Subsequently, whenever the same QR code is scanned, the complete billing history for the past 10 months will appear on the mobile screen.

This facility will enable consumers to pay their bills on time and easily access information regarding outstanding dues.
No Need to Visit the Water Department Office Anymore
According to PHED officials, people previously had to visit the water department office to register their mobile numbers, which caused significant inconvenience. This new digital system is being implemented following feedback received from consumers.
Additional Chief Engineer Ajay Singh Rathore stated that consumers can now register their mobile numbers and avail themselves of all billing services by scanning the QR code from the comfort of their homes.
