  1. EPFO Pension Reforms: Starting January 1, EPFO account holders can withdraw pensions from any bank branch nationwide. Over 80 lakh members of the Employees Pension Scheme will benefit from this move.
  2. e-Wallet for EPFO: Major IT infrastructure upgrades in EPFO will allow claim settlements through e-wallets. Users can withdraw Provident Fund (PF) amounts directly via ATMs using special cards.
  3. Faster Claim Settlements: EPFO claims, usually processed in 7-10 days, will directly transfer funds to account holders after settlement, benefiting 8 crore account holders across India.
  4. UPI 123Pay for Feature Phones: The Reserve Bank has doubled the transfer limit for UPI 123Pay users from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000, facilitating digital payments for over 40 crore feature phone users.
  5. UPI Lite Limit Raised: The transaction limit for UPI Lite has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000, providing greater convenience to rural and elderly users with limited digital payment options.
  6. Interest-Free Fixed Deposit Withdrawals: Fixed deposits in NBFCs and HFCs can be withdrawn without interest within three months of deposit. For larger deposits, partial withdrawals of up to Rs 5 lakh or 50% of the principal amount will be allowed.
  7. Farmer-Friendly Loans: The Reserve Bank has increased unsecured agricultural loan limits to Rs 2 lakh, benefiting marginal farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity.
  8. Record Agricultural Growth: With a favorable monsoon, record production of 16.47 crore tonnes of Kharif crops is anticipated, and the agricultural sector’s growth rate is expected to be 3.5-4%.
  9. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Completion: The 1,386 km Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2025, reducing travel time between the two cities to 12 hours.
  10. Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: Scheduled for completion by February 2025, this 210 km expressway will reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun to 2.5 hours, featuring Asia’s longest elevated wildlife corridor.
  11. Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway: South India’s first Greenfield Expressway will cut travel time between Bengaluru and Chennai from six to three hours upon completion in August 2025.
  12. Ganga Expressway: The 594 km expressway connecting Meerut to Prayagraj will be ready before the Maha Kumbh, enabling a 7-hour drive from Delhi to Prayagraj.
  13. Rail Connectivity to Kashmir: Rail service from Delhi to Srinagar via the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla link will begin in January 2025, including the iconic Chenab Bridge.
