PM Modi marks 25 years of service; gives a new slogan for a developed India: ‘We Will Do It’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 25 years in public service and governance. Addressing an event held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday to mark this occasion, PM Modi reflected on his 25-year political and administrative journey. He stated that the people gave him the opportunity to serve 25 years ago, and he would continue to dedicate his entire being to the service of the nation throughout his life.

Addressing the younger generation—particularly Generation Z—Prime Minister Modi conveyed the message of fulfilling the resolve to build a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047. He emphasized that to take the country to new heights, there must be a singular resolve: “We Will Do It.”

The Public’s Trust Over 25 Years is My Greatest Asset

PM Modi noted that numerous elections have taken place over the last 25 years, and the public has consistently given him the opportunity to serve the nation. He acknowledged that every citizen of the country has contributed to the position he holds today. The trust placed in him by the people over these 25 years, along with the experience gained during this time, constitutes his greatest asset—an asset that belongs to the nation.

He stated that his life has been dedicated to the service of humanity and the nation. This occasion of completing 25 years is not merely about revisiting old memories but is a day to reaffirm the resolve made for the country. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to channel the enthusiasm and spirit of the citizens towards taking India to new heights, with the guiding message: “We Will Do It.”

Resolve to Make India a Top-3 Economy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that a major goal of the government is to place India among the world’s top three economies. He spoke of building an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) and transforming the country into a global manufacturing hub. Additionally, he reiterated the resolve to host the Olympics in India and achieve new milestones in the space sector. He stated that his 25-year journey as a head of government is not a matter of personal achievement or self-aggrandizement. Recalling his earlier days, he mentioned that he spent the first 50 years of his life serving in tribal areas, forests, and mountainous regions. Subsequently, he worked for a long period within the Bharatiya Janata Party’s organizational structure.

PM Modi noted that while he worked for the organization and managed election campaigns, he had never contemplated entering electoral politics himself. He emphasized that the purpose of his life has never been to attain a specific position or fulfill personal ambitions, but rather to work towards a mission.

Recalling School Days in Vadnagar

The Prime Minister also reminisced about his childhood and school days in Vadnagar. He shared that he was always among the first students to arrive at school. A keen desire to learn from teachers became an integral part of his life, and he continues to consider himself a student to this day.

PM Modi mentioned that he strives to learn something new every day. Recalling October 7, 2001—the day he took the oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat—he noted that he had never imagined his public life would reach such a milestone.

The Prime Minister stated that completing 25 years of continuous service as a head of government is a result of the trust and support of the nation’s people. He reiterated his commitment to serving the country and fulfilling the resolve of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) in the future.
