RRB Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 119 Section Controllers. Applications for this recruitment drive will commence on July 15, 2026. Eligibility Criteria
The age limit for interested candidates is set at a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 33 years. However, in accordance with government regulations, age relaxations will be provided: five years for SC and ST categories, and three years for the OBC category.
It is worth noting that this recruitment by the RRB falls under Pay Level 6, with a fixed starting salary of ₹35,400. Additionally, candidates must meet the A-2 medical standard.
Applicants must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university.
Exam Pattern and Selection Process
To be finally selected for the post of Section Controller, candidates must undergo the following stages:
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
Document Verification (DV)
Medical Test
What is the CBT Exam Pattern?
A key feature of this examination is that the single-stage CBT will consist exclusively of questions on Mathematics and Reasoning; there will be no questions on English or General Studies (GS).
Candidates will be allotted a total of 2 hours to answer 100 questions.
Question Breakdown 60 questions will be asked on Analytical Ability and Mathematics.
20 questions will be asked on Logical Ability.
Additionally, 20 questions will be asked on Mental Reasoning.
Important Note
Only candidates who qualify in this written examination will be shortlisted for the next stage, i.e., the CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test).
What is the application fee?
The application fee is ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates.
For women across all categories, the fee is set at ₹250.
