On Friday, a classmate attacked a 10th class student with a knife in a government school in Udaipur. Communal tension spread due to the rumours spread after the stabbing. The atmosphere in the city suddenly deteriorated. The mob set cars on fire and closed the markets. Seeing the situation, Section 144 was imposed in the city. Now the divisional commissioner has issued an order to shut down the internet in Udaipur. The internet will be shut down for the next 24 hours from 10:00 pm.

Here, the situation is under control due to the alertness of the District Collector and the administration. Police is deployed in every nook and corner of the city. The police and administration are getting success in maintaining peace. Violent incidents are no longer being reported in the city. Late night, both the parties came face to face in Aayad area, but now the police has brought the situation under control there too. Police force is deployed in the area. Meanwhile, Udaipur SP Yogesh Goyal says, ‘After the unfortunate incident that took place during the day, the public was angry on the streets and some incidents of vandalism took place. We immediately took a decision and imposed Section 144 in the city. The injured child was given medical aid, the child’s condition is stable.’

Senior SP Dilip Thakur said, ‘An atmosphere of tension had been created but now there is peace. Police forces have been deployed at various places.’

That’s why the atmosphere of the city suddenly deteriorated

Actually, in a government school in Surajpol police station area of ​​Udaipur, a student attacked another student with a knife on his thigh. The incident took place in the Government Higher Secondary School, Bhattiani Chohatta, located in the middle of the city. The rumor of the death of the injured child spread, which made people angry. According to the police, the reason behind the stabbing incident in the government school located in Bhatiani Chohatta could not be ascertained immediately. The victim has been admitted to the ICU in the district hospital and his condition is stable.

Police said that members of some Hindu organizations gathered in Madhuban area of ​​the city to protest against this incident. Police said that the mob pelted stones and set three-four cars on fire. As the tension increased, markets were closed in Bapu Bazar, Hathipol, Ghantaghar, Chetak Circle and surrounding areas. People of Hindu organizations closed shops in the markets. Shopping malls were also pelted with stones. At the same time, hundreds of people gathered outside the government hospital and the police dispersed the crowd.
