RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Security: The security of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has been increased. Now RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will be under Advance Security Liaison (ASL) security cover. He already has Z+ security. According to security agencies, after the threat alert from Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Home Ministry decided to increase the security of Mohan Bhagwat.

What is ASL Security?
ASL Security is considered to be the strongest security protocol in India. This kind of protocol has been given to selected people like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah.
Under Advance Security Liaison (ASL), now wherever RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat goes, an advance team of CISF will go there beforehand. It will review all the arrangements from the venue. It will hold a meeting with the local administration, in which the IB team will also be present.
In this meeting, all points like venue, stage, organizers, entry, exit will be discussed. Bhagwat will go to the program only after the green signal from the advance team.
Advance Security Liaison (ASL) includes many other protocols. For example, now Mohan Bhagwat will travel only in a bulletproof car. Which will be equipped with communication devices and other facilities. Apart from this, if he has to travel by helicopter, he will travel by a special chopper. Under the ASL protocol, his program will also be rehearsed.
Apart from CISF, teams from the district administration, local police, health department will also be present. The Prime Minister also has a similar protocol. Wherever he goes on a tour, an advance team of SPG goes there first and reviews and rehearses. He goes to the program only after their approval.
A CISF officer tells hindi.news18.com that it is the responsibility of the ASL team to hold a meeting with the state police and administration before the program and decide who will play what role, what is the threat and what are the arrangements to deal with it and who will take what responsibility. The Intelligence Bureau is also associated in this meeting. He tells that only Assistant Commandant or higher officers from CISF participate in the ASL meeting.
Who has ASL security right now?
Right now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have got ASL protection. PM Narendra Modi is under ASL protection of SPG. Whereas, the rest have got Advance Security Liaison (ASL) from CRPF. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will be the first person to get Advance Security Liaison (ASL) from CISF.
What was in Z+ security?
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has been given Z+ security till now. There are a total of 6 categories of security available in India. SPG, Z+, Z Security, Y Security, Y+ Security and X Security. Z+ security category is the second highest level of security after SPG cover. This security system consists of 55 personnel along with CRPF commandos, who provide continuous security for 24 hours.
If needed, National Security Guard (NSG) commandos can also be deployed for additional security based on intelligence inputs. This security cover also includes a bulletproof vehicle and escort vehicles in three shifts. The commandos involved in Z Plus security receive expert training in martial arts and unarmed fighting.
