IAS Success Story: Every year thousands of candidates work hard day and night in the hope of getting success in the UPSC exam, but only a few of them are able to make their dreams come true. Today we will tell you a story which was full of difficulties but in the end succeeded in setting a new record of success. This is the story of Sridhanya Suresh, who has achieved the distinction of becoming the first tribal woman IAS of Kerala by passing the UPSC CSE.

A difficult start
Sreedhanya Suresh was born in Wayanad district of Kerala and is a member of the Kurichia tribe. Her childhood was full of hardships, and lack of resources put many obstacles in her path. But despite all these obstacles, Sreedhanya worked hard in her studies and proved her potential.
On the road to education
Sreedhanya completed her early education from St. Joseph’s College in Calicut. After this, she moved to Kozhikode to study zoology and then returned to Calicut University for a master’s degree. Though she had always been talented, the lack of resources made her struggle even more difficult.
Government job and dream
After completing her master’s degree, Sridhanya got an appointment in the state government’s Scheduled Tribe Development Department, where she worked as a warden in a hostel for tribal students. However, she was not completely satisfied with her job despite the good salary. She had big dreams and decided to make another attempt towards her goal.
Fulfill your dream with the help of friends
In 2018, Sreedhanya cleared the first two rounds of the UPSC exam. But she did not have the money to go to Delhi for the third and final round. In this difficult time, her friends stood by her and helped her with thousands of rupees, so that she could go to Delhi. After completing the interview, Sreedhanya secured 410 AIR in her third attempt and became an IAS officer by clearing the UPSC CSE.
This success of Sridhanya Suresh is not only the result of her hard work and dedication, but it is an inspiration for all those who are trying to fulfill their dreams despite difficulties. Her story of struggle and success teaches us that with true dedication and confidence, any difficulty can be overcome.
