Election Commission lodged 2 FIRs against Tawde
After the opposition’s allegations, the Election Commission has lodged two FIRs against Vinod Tawde and Nalasopara BJP candidate Rajan Naik. Police said, the first FIR has been lodged for violating the election code of conduct. It is alleged that Tawde and others gathered at a hotel. The second FIR alleges luring voters by offering them cash and liquor.
According to the information, the Election Commission officials recovered 9 lakh rupees and documents from Tawde’s room. Its video has surfaced. However, the Election Commission has only said that some things have been seized.
The footage is said to be of a hotel. It is claimed that Rs 9 lakh and documents have been recovered here.
After the FIR was registered, Vinod Tawde said that the Election Commission should conduct an impartial investigation.
Tawde said- I had gone to a meeting of workers, Election Commission should investigate
Vinod Tawde said- A meeting of workers was going on in Nalasopara assembly constituency. I had reached there to tell the 12 points of the code of conduct for the day of elections. The parties in opposition to us thought that I had reached there to distribute money. The Election Commission and the police should investigate these allegations. I have been in the party for 40 years. Everyone knows me. I also want that the Election Commission should conduct an impartial investigation.
Thakur said- The hotel’s CCTV cameras were off, we got them on
Hitendra Thakur said- I had received information that Vinod Tawde was coming to distribute money to voters. I thought a national leader like him would not do such a small thing. When I went to the hotel and saw him, the CCTV cameras were off. The CCTV cameras were switched on after we asked. Tawde was distributing money to voters. He stayed in the hotel for more than 3 hours.
BVA party president’s son is also contesting from Nallasopara
Voting will be held in a single phase on November 20 for all 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. Kshitij Thakur, son of BVA president Hitendra Thakur, is also contesting from Nallasopara seat.
Who said what on the allegations against Tawde
Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media- Modi Ji, from whose safe did this 5 crore come out? Who looted the public’s money and sent you in the tempo?
Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole said- The video of BJP’s Central General Secretary Vinod Tawde caught red-handed distributing money in a hotel in Virar is going viral. The Election Commission should take strict action against Vinod Tawde for violating the code of conduct. We demand that Vinod Tawde should be arrested to maintain people’s faith in democracy and conduct elections in a transparent manner.
Shiv Sena Uddhav faction MP Sanjay Raut said- Home department was keeping an eye on Vinod Tawde. Some people of BJP will be happy today. Is this a conspiracy? This was done so that Tawde does not become big in future. I have the names of 18 people who are distributing money. But Vinod Tawde himself is distributing money, this is surprising.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh said- Adani brings down the Maharashtra government by buying MLAs for crores of rupees. BJP forms the government and gives business worth lakhs of crores to Adani. After this, it contests elections using Adani’s black money. These bundles of notes in the hands of BJP leaders belong to Adani. BJP wants to make Maharashtra an Adani nation.
BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya said- If the opposition has any such evidence then they should go to the Election Commission. This is a conspiracy. 24 hours before the election, leaders look at the management of their booths. Such drama is done by losing leaders, which is happening in Nalasopara right now. Our organization’s meeting was going on in that hotel.
NCP leader Supriya Sule said, ‘It is shocking that a national leader of such a big party is distributing money. This is very dangerous for any democracy. If people want to win elections by distributing money, then what should people like us do? Is there morality in this country or not?’
