Haryana Elections Shocker: Hooda in Garhi Sampla, Vinesh Phogat in Julana—Congress Drops First List | Surjewala and Selja Left Out!

Haryana Congress Candidate List 2024: Congress has released its first list of 31 candidates for the Haryana assembly elections. Let us know who has been given tickets from where by the party.

Haryana Elections 2024: Congress has released the first list of its candidates for the Haryana assembly elections. In this list, Congress has announced the names of its 31 candidates. Congress has made wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who joined the party on Friday, its candidate from Jind’s Julana assembly seat. Apart from this, former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda has been given ticket from Garhi Sampla Kiloi assembly seat. In this list Congress has not given tickets to Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala and Lok Sabha MP Kumari Selja.

Vinesh Phogat has been given ticket from Julana. Candidates for Jagadhri and Yamunanagar seats have not been announced yet. According to the list, Vinesh Phogat from Julana, Kuldeep Vats from Badli have been given tickets again. Udaybhan will contest from Hodal. Aftab Ahmed from Nuh, Mohammad Ilyas from Punhana, Maman Khan Engineer from Ferozepur Jhirka, Chiranjiv Rao from Rewari and Renu Bala from Sadhora have been given tickets again. Bishanlal Saini has been fielded again from Radaur.

Apart from this, the Congress has expressed confidence in Pradeep Chaudhary from Kalka, Shailji Chaudhary from Naraingarh, Meva Singh from Ladwa, Ram Karan from Shahabad (SC), Dharam Pal Gondar from Nilokheri (SC), S. Shamsher Singh Gogi from Assandh, Dharam Singh Chhokkar from Samalkha, Jaiveer Singh from Kharkhoda (SC), Surendra Panwar from Sonipat, Jagbir Singh Malik from Gohana, Induraj Singh Narwal from Baroda, Subhash Gangoli from Safidon.

Shishpal Singh from Kalawali (SC), Amit Sihag from Dabwali, Bhupinder Singh Hooda from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, Bharat Bhushan Batra from Rohtak, Shakuntala Khatak from Kalanaur (SC), Rajinder Singh June from Bahadurgarh, Kuldeep Vats from Badli, Geeta Bhukkal from Jhajjar (SC), Dr Raghuveer Singh Kadyan from Beri, Rao Dan Singh from Mahendragarh, Chiranjeev Rao from Rewari and Neeraj Sharma from Faridabad NIT have been declared as the candidates.

Vinesh Phogat had joined Congress today

Earlier on Friday, Olympic wrestler Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia had joined hands with Congress. Now, the party has fielded wrestler Vinesh Phogat in the Haryana assembly elections.

Meva Singh will challenge CM Naib Saini

Congress has fielded Meva Singh from Ladwa assembly constituency, who will challenge CM Naib Saini. BJP has fielded Naib Saini from Ladwa. However, Saini wanted to contest from Karnal.

Amarjit Dhanda is an MLA
At present, Amarjit Dhanda of JJP is the MLA from Julana seat. JJP has made him the candidate this time too. BJP has not yet announced the candidate from this seat. In the 2019 elections, Dhanda defeated BJP’s Parminder Singh Dhul. He got 61 thousand 942 votes. Parminder Singh got 37 thousand 749 votes. Congress candidate Dharmendra Singh Dhul was in third place. He got 12 thousand 440 votes.

In the 2014 elections, INLD’s Parminder Singh Dhull had won from here. Congress’ Dharmendra Singh Dhull was in second place. BSP was in third place and BJP was in fourth place.

Congress last won in Julana in 2005
In the 2009 elections too, INLD’s Parminder Singh Dhul had won. Congress was in second place. Earlier, in the 2000 and 2005 elections, Congress candidate Sher Singh had won. In 2005, independent candidate Parminder Singh Dhul was in second place. In 2000, INLD’s Suraj Bhan Kajal was in second place.

This time Congress is hoping that with the help of Vinesh Phogat, Congress will get sympathy votes and it will win this seat. In fact, Phogat is the first female wrestler to reach the Olympic final.

Recently, she was disqualified in the 50 kg weight category at the Paris Olympics after being found to be about 100 grams overweight. Later, Vinesh Phogat announced her retirement from the sport.

Congress has given tickets to three Muslim leaders

Out of these 31 candidates, Congress has given tickets to three Muslim leaders. Congress has nominated Aftab Ahmed from Nuh seat of Haryana, Maman Khan from Ferozepur Jhirka seat and Mohammad Ilyas from Punhana assembly seat as its candidates.

Congress played safe game

Most of the names in the list released by Congress are of current MLAs. Congress has announced candidates on those seats where there was no dispute. The remaining seats have been put on hold. Candidates have not yet been announced on the four seats of Gurugram.

Congress gave ticket to jailed MLA Surendra Pawar, who was arrested by ED

Congress has given ticket to Surendra Panwar from Sonipat. He is the current MLA from here. He is currently in jail. He was arrested by ED in the month of July. ED had conducted raids in a case related to illegal mining. After this, the Congress MLA was arrested while taking action.

Most of the sitting MLAs got tickets

Congress’s first list for Haryana was released on Friday (September 6). The first list includes the names of 31 candidates. Bhupendra Hooda has been given a ticket from Garhi Sampla. Vinesh Phogat has been made a candidate from Julana. Most of the current MLAs have been given tickets in the first list. Lalu Yadav’s son-in-law Chiranjiv Rao has been given a ticket from Rewari. He is the current MLA from this seat.

Randeep Surjewala and Kumari Selja did not get ticket in Congress’ first list

Congress has not yet fielded any candidate on the Haryana assembly seats on which Randeep Singh Surjewala and Kumari Selja are staking their claim. In fact, Haryana Congress veteran Randeep Singh Surjewala is staking his claim from his traditional seat Kaithal and Congress has not announced the name of any candidate from this seat in the first list.

Similarly, Kumari Selja, Lok Sabha MP from Sirsa, Haryana, has also expressed her desire to contest the assembly elections. Selja wants to stake her claim from a constituency in Sirsa. However, Congress has not announced the name of the candidate from this seat in the first list. In such a situation, it has to be seen whether Congress will give tickets to these two MPs in the next lists or not. Because this is only the first list of Congress, more lists are yet to come.

Bajrang Punia will campaign for the party

Bajrang Punia’s name is also not in the first list of Congress. He also joined Congress along with Vinesh Phogat on Friday. It is believed that Bajrang Punia will campaign for the party. Bajrang was appointed the working president of the party’s All India Kisan Congress before the announcement of the ticket.

BJP has released the list of candidates

Before Congress, BJP has released its list of candidates for Haryana assembly elections. BJP had announced the names of 67 candidates in its first list. In this, BJP has given ticket to Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini from Ladwa assembly seat. Apart from this, former Home Minister Anil Vij has been fielded from Ambala Cantt.

Let us tell you that voting for the assembly elections will be held on October 5 in Haryana. The results of the assembly elections will be declared on October 8.

Let us tell you that there are a total of 90 assembly seats in Haryana. Voting will be held on all the seats in one phase on October 5. The results will be declared on October 8. Earlier the elections were to be held on October 1 and the results were to be declared on October 4. But later the Election Commission announced a change in the date.
