Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Amidst the Lok Sabha elections, the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah has given an interview to news agency ANI. During this, he has answered many questions. ‘Does BJP have a Plan B in case it does not reach the majority figure?’ Amit Shah has given a very interesting answer to this question. He has said that ‘Plan B needs to be made only when there is less than 60% chance of Plan A (success). I am sure that PM Modi will come to power with a huge majority…’
On Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s election campaign, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that ‘As a voter, I believe that wherever he goes, people will remember the liquor scam… many people will see the big bottle.’ On Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s statement ‘If you vote for me, I will not have to go to jail’, he said that ‘There can be no bigger contempt of the Supreme Court than this. Will the Supreme Court decide on (electoral) victory and defeat?’
On the speculation of BJP crossing 400 and changing the Constitution, the Home Minister said that ‘We have the majority to change the Constitution for the last 10 years. We have never done this…My party does not have a history of misusing the majority. The history of misusing the majority was done by Congress during Indira Gandhi’s time. But yes, we want 400 seats because we want to bring stability in the country’s politics. Because we want to keep the country’s borders safe, we want to bring UCC. How did we use our seats in 10 years? In repealing Article 370, ending triple talaq and building the Ram temple.’
This is not a clean chit: Amit Shah
On interim bail to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor policy case, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, ‘I do not want to comment on the Supreme Court’s decision. But the way you, some media groups and most journalists… consider it a victory for Kejriwal – I would like to make it a little clear… This is not a clean chit. The chargesheet is still before the Supreme Court, if they had so much confidence, they should have prayed for quashing it before the Sessions Court.’
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that those who question Article 370, I would like to tell them that the voting percentage has crossed 40%. There can be no bigger success than this for Article 370 (removal). All the leaders of extremist groups are leaving and they have become participants in the democratic process, earlier there were slogans of boycott of elections but today elections are being held in a peaceful manner.
