BJP National President JP Nadda posted on the social media platform Instagram and wrote, “The Bharatiya Janata Party has nothing to do with the statements made by BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Dinesh Sharma on the judiciary and the Chief Justice of the country. This is their personal statement, but the BJP neither agrees with such statements nor ever supports such statements. The BJP completely rejects these statements.
Nishikant Dubey Remark: JP Nadda said this Big thing
JP Nadda said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party has always respected the judiciary, gladly accepted their orders and suggestions because as a party we believe that all the courts of the country including the Supreme Court are an integral part of our democracy and are a strong pillar of the protection of the Constitution. I have instructed both of them and everyone else not to make such statements.”
Nishikant Dubey Remark: Why is there controversy?
Earlier, BJP leader Nishikant Dubey had questioned the functioning of the judiciary and said, “Parliament makes the laws of this country. Will you give instructions to that Parliament? Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna is responsible for the civil war in the country.
At the same time, the Supreme Court is responsible for inciting a religious war. The court is going beyond its limits. If everyone has to go to the Supreme Court for all matters, then the Parliament and the Assembly should be closed.”
Nishikant Dubey Remark: Opposition Got Angry
After the Nishikant Dubey Remark, the opposition has become aggressive. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “Attempts are being made to weaken the powers given to the Supreme Court by the Constitution. The Supreme Court is only saying that do not go against the basic structure of the Constitution while making laws. Different voices are being raised deliberately to target it. He said that this is being done because the Supreme Court has talked about electoral bonds, Waqf law and the issue of Election Commission is pending before it.”
Nishikant Dubey Remark: Congress leader Salman Khurshid also criticized
Along with this, lawyer and Congress leader Salman Khurshid also criticized (Nishikant Dubey Remark) the statement given by BJP leader Nishikant Dubey on the Supreme Court and said that in the judicial system, the final decision is not of the government but of the Supreme Court.
Along with Congress leaders, other opposition parties also raised questions on the Nishikant Dubey Remark and also targeted BJP. In such a situation, BJP’s national president JP Nadda has replied that the party does not support such statements and the party completely rejects such statements, and has also instructed not to make such statements in future.
