PM Modi to Hold 4 Rallies in UP Today: Can He Address the questions arising from Purvanchal?

PM Modi Rally Lok Sabha Elections 2024: PM Modi will roar in Pratapgarh, Azamgarh, Jaunpur and Bhadohi on Thursday and further strengthen the BJP's claim. Voting for these seats will be held on May 25 in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

PM Modi Rallies in UP: In the politics of the country, it is said that the way to Delhi’s chair goes through Uttar Pradesh and the way to Uttar Pradesh goes through Purvanchal. This is the reason why the Bharatiya Janata Party has started strengthening that fort, where some work was left incomplete in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Yes, BJP is now busy strengthening its Purvanchal fort. PM Modi has a series of rallies in Purvanchal today. After filing his nomination from Varanasi and showing strength in the road show, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to do a mega show for BJP in Purvanchal today i.e. Thursday. PM Modi will roar in Pratapgarh, Azamgarh, Jaunpur and Bhadohi on Thursday and will further strengthen the claim of BJP. Voting for these seats will be held on May 25 in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

PM Modi’s first rally will be held in Nizamabad assembly constituency of Lalganj in Azamgarh district, followed by the second rally in Machhlishahr of Jaunpur, third in Bhadohi and fourth in Pratapgarh. This will be the maximum number of rallies by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a day in this election in Uttar Pradesh. It is important to mention here that in eastern Uttar Pradesh, which is called Purvanchal, BJP is in direct competition with the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance on most of the seats.

There will be more rallies

How much focus BJP has on Purvanchal can be gauged from the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two more rallies in Jaunpur and Bhadohi districts in the coming days. Not only this, in the coming days, PM Modi will also be seen addressing election rallies in Basti and Deoria districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that PM Modi will address public meetings in these two districts on 21 May. In Basti too, voting is to be held on 25 May in the sixth phase. Apart from this, on 21 May itself, PM Modi will participate in a women’s conference in Varanasi. The Bharatiya Janata Party has nominated Dineshlal Yadav Nirahua from Azamgarh, Sangamlal Gupta from Pratapgarh, Kripashankar Singh from Jaunpur and Vinod Kumar Bind from Bhadohi.

What has been the condition of Purvanchal?

In fact, despite Modi magic in 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party could not completely conquer Purvanchal. Due to BSP and SP, BJP could not achieve a one-sided victory in Purvanchal areas in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. There are about 26 Lok Sabha seats in Purvanchal. BJP had won 17 out of 26 seats in Purvanchal, while NDA’s ally Apna Dal (S) won two seats. In 2019, BJP had to face defeat on a total of 7 seats including Ghosi, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Ambedkar Nagar. Out of these, Mayawati’s BSP won Ghosi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur and Ambedkar Nagar seats, while SP won the Azamgarh seat.

Purvanchal is the stronghold of Modi-Yogi

Purvanchal is the stronghold of Modi-Yogi, this is the reason that no stone should be left unturned this time, so BJP is now busy preparing the political ground for 2024. It is important to mention here that Purvanchal itself is the stronghold of PM Modi and CM Yogi. While PM Modi’s parliamentary seat is Banaras, Yogi Adityanath has represented Gorakhpur for a long time. However, last time BJP had fielded Ravi Kishan from Gorakhpur and this time too Ravi Kishan is in the fray. Now it remains to be seen whether PM Modi is able to convert the questions raised about Purvanchal into results by his rapid rallies.
