KKR vs RCB IPL 2024: KKR beat RCB by 1 run, Bangalore got 7th defeat of IPL 2024

KKR vs RCB IPL 2024: The 36th match of IPL 2024 was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens on Sunday (21 April 2024). In this exciting match, KKR team won by 1 run.

In this exciting match, KKR team won by 1 run. During the match, at one time RCB team was seen winning easily, but due to the flop of the middle order batsmen again, their hopes were dashed. This is KKR’s fifth win in IPL 2024. At the same time, RCB team has to face its seventh defeat.

RCB lost by 1 run

While chasing the target of 223 runs given by KKR, RCB’s team collapsed at 221 runs in 20 overs. Batting at the third position for the team, Will Jacks contributed 55 runs in 32 balls. While batting at the fourth position, Rajat Patidar managed to score 52 runs in just 23 balls. Despite this, RCB’s team failed to win. Apart from these two batsmen, Karthik contributed 25 runs in 18 balls and Karn Sharma contributed 20 runs in just 7 balls. 

KKR managed to score 222 runs 

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first at Eden Gardens, Kolkata Knight Riders managed to score 222 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Batting at the fourth position for the team, Captain Shreyas Iyer scored the highest half-century of 50 runs in 36 balls. During this, 7 fours and 1 six came off his bat. Apart from him, Philip Salt, who opened the innings, was the second highest scorer. He played a quick innings of 48 runs facing 14 balls.

Yash Dayal and Cameron Green took 2-2 wickets for RCB 

Yash Dayal and Cameron Green were the most successful bowlers from Royal Challengers Bangalore in today’s match. Both these bowlers took 2-2 wickets respectively. Apart from these, Lockie Ferguson and Mohammad Sirah took 1-1 wickets respectively.

Andre Russell was the star in KKR’s bowling 

Andre Russell was the most successful bowler from KKR. He bowled 3 overs and took the maximum of 3 wickets by spending 25 runs. Apart from him, Harshit Rana took 2 wickets, Sunil Narine took 2 wickets each and Mitchell Starc and Varun Chakraborty took 1 wicket each.
