PAK vs IRE T20: Ireland defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the first match of the three-match T20 series. Ireland created history with this victory.

PAK vs IRE T20: A three-match T20 series is being played between Pakistan and Ireland amid IPL 2024. Pakistan team is on a tour of Ireland for this series. In the very first match of the series, Ireland made a big upset and defeated Pakistan. Ireland defeated Pakistan for the first time in the history of T20. Earlier, only one match was played between the two, in which Pakistan won. 

The first match of the three-match T20 series was played in Dublin, in which Ireland won against the visiting Pakistan by 5 wickets with 1 ball to spare. Batting first in the match, Pakistan scored 182/6 runs on the board. Captain Babar Azam played the biggest innings for Pakistan, scoring 57 runs in 43 balls with the help of 8 fours and 1 six. 

This is how Ireland created history by winning 

Ireland had a bad start while chasing the target of 183 runs. The team lost its first wicket in the form of captain Paul Stirling (08) in the second over at a score of 14 runs. Then the team got another blow in the form of Lorcan Tucker on the first ball of the 5th over, who returned to the pavilion after scoring just 04 runs.

After this, Andrew Balbirnie and Harry Tector provided stability to the team by sharing 77 runs (52 balls) for the third wicket. This partnership ended with the wicket of Harry Tector in the 13th over, who returned to the pavilion after scoring 36 runs (27 balls) with the help of 3 fours and 1 six. 

After this, the team lost the fourth wicket in the form of George Dockrell, who returned to the pavilion after scoring 24 runs in 12 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. Then the team got the fifth blow in the form of Andrew Balbirnie, who was playing a brilliant innings. Balbirnie scored 77 runs in 55 balls with the help of 10 fours and 2 sixes. After this, Curtis Campher and Gareth Delany made the team win by making an unbroken partnership of 16* (7 balls) runs for the sixth wicket.
