PSL Prize Money: Islamabad United, the Champions, Received a Prize Amount Many Times Less Than IPL Winners – Find Out How Much?

PSL Prize Money: There is a huge difference in the prize money of Pakistan Super League and Indian Premier League. So let us know the amount that the champions will get in both the leagues.

PSL Prize Money vs IPL Prize Money: Islamabad United won the title of Pakistan Super League 2024 (PSL 2024). Islamabad United, captained by Shadab Khan, defeated Multan Sultan by 2 wickets in the final and won the trophy. Now after the victory, obviously the teams get crores of rupees as reward. But do you know that the team that wins the PSL title gets many times less prize money than the IPL. So let us know how much difference there is in the respect of both.

Huge difference in Prize Money

Pakistan Super League is often compared with IPL, but when it comes to the prize money of both, there is a huge difference. Let us tell you that Islamabad United, which won the PSL, got about 3.5 crore Indian rupees as Iman. Whereas Chennai Super Kings, which won the title of IPL 2023 last year, received Rs 20 crore as reward. That means there is a difference of about 7 times in the prize money of the champion team in both the leagues.

Whereas Multan Sultans, the runner-up in Pakistan Super League, gets about 1.4 crore Indian rupees, while Gujarat Titans, the runner-up in IPL 2023, was given Rs 12.5 crore. Here a difference of about 9 times is clearly visible in the prize money of both the leagues. The teams finishing at number three and four in IPL also get more money than the teams that win the PSL title. In IPL, the number three team gets Rs 7 crore and the number four team gets Rs 6.5 crore.

PSL’s prize money is much less than Women’s Premier League

The prize money of the Women’s Premier League i.e. Women’s IPL played in India is also much more than the prize money of Pakistan Super League. This time (2024), Royal Challengers Bangalore, which won the Women’s IPL title, was given Rs 6 crore as prize money, while the runner-up Delhi Capitals got Rs 3 crore. That is, the difference can be clearly seen, the amount of money that is given to the team that loses the final of the Women’s Premier League, almost the same amount is given to the team that wins the Pakistan Super League.
