Delhi-NCR Weather: Morning Downpour Brings Much-Needed Relief from Humid Heat!

Delhi-NCR Weather: The rain that happened in Delhi this morning has made the weather pleasant. The rain that happened in the morning has also given relief to the people of Delhi from the humid heat.

Delhi-NCR Weather: Many parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) received rain on Thursday morning, giving people a lot of relief from the heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Thursday in Delhi. Along with this, they have predicted that rain will continue in the capital till July 28. Yesterday also, the morning in Delhi started with rain, making the weather pleasant in Delhi-NCR.

Situation is bad due to humid heat in North India

The humid heat has worsened the condition of people in entire North India including Delhi. In such a situation, everyone is eagerly waiting for the rain, so that people get relief from this humidity. This time, except Himachal and Uttarakhand, most areas of North India have received very little rain. As a result, people are not getting relief from the heat. In such a situation, the rain that happened yesterday and in the morning has brought great relief to the people of Delhi-NCR. 

Rain causes traffic jam at many places in Delhi

Due to rain in the morning in Delhi-NCR region, there was waterlogging and traffic jam at many places. Transport system was also affected due to rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in Delhi till Thursday. Along with this, it has predicted that rain will continue in the capital till July 28. The Meteorological Department uses four colors to issue weather related alerts in the country.

These alerts are… Green (no action needed), Yellow (watch and continue to monitor), Orange (be prepared to take action) and Red (action/assistance needed). A ‘Yellow Alert’ means heavy rainfall between six and 11 cm. A ‘Red Alert’ indicates heavy to very heavy rainfall of more than 20 cm in 24 hours, while an ‘Orange Alert’ means very heavy rainfall of six to 20 cm.
