Weather Update: Delhi Soaked in Non-Stop Rain Like Shimla! Red Alert Issued from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to Rajasthan – Full Weather Forecast Inside

IMD Weather Update: Due to rain in Delhi-NCR, people have got relief from the heat. At the same time, an alert has been issued regarding rain in UP, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

IMD Weather Update: Monsoon is active in the whole country at this time. Heavy rain is falling in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. It is raining in Delhi NCR since morning today (13 August), due to which there is waterlogging on the roads. Apart from this, electricity was lost in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi NCR even today. There is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, some districts of Madhya Pradesh. Let us know what will be the weather today.

The spell of rain continues in Delhi NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain the same for the next few days. It may rain in many areas of Delhi today as well. It may rain in many districts of UP including Ghaziabad, Noida. The weather will remain cool due to rain. 

Weather Update: Heavy rain at many places in Rajasthan

Waterlogging has occurred in many districts of Rajasthan due to continuous rain. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in the state today as well. According to IMD, the ‘depression’ formed over Madhya Pradesh has come over south-western Uttar Pradesh, the effect of which is being seen in Rajasthan. Heavy rain may occur in north-eastern Rajasthan today

Weather Update: Alert issued regarding rain in MP Chhattisgarh too

There is a possibility of rain in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rain may occur in Datia city. Apart from this, rain will also trouble people in Gwalior. On the other hand, if we talk about Chhattisgarh, an alert has been issued regarding rain here too. Amidst the rain in the Bastar division of the southern region, the district administration has been asked to remain alert to deal with flood-like situations. Heavy rain may occur in Bijapur, Dantewada, Sukma and Narayanpur districts even today. 

Weather Update: Alert regarding rain in Uttarakhand and Haryana too

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain may occur in Uttarakhand till September 14. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts. A red alert has also been issued regarding rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in Chamoli, Dehradun, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar and on Friday in Dehradun, Pauri, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar. Meanwhile, the District Magistrates of Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Almora, Bageshwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar have issued orders to keep all schools closed in their districts on Friday in view of heavy rain. There is also a possibility of rain in Haryana from today till September 15. If we talk about Uttar Pradesh, then it may rain in West UP today. 

Delhi is getting wet since yesterday morning, what kind of non-stop drizzle is this in the capital like Shimla?

The rain that has been going on in Delhi NCR since Thursday (Delhi-NCR Rain) continues on Friday as well. It has been raining continuously since yesterday, due to which not only the temperature has dropped, but the roads are also flooded. On one hand, the pleasant weather has given relief to people from the heat, but on the other hand, life has also become disrupted. Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram and other nearby areas are also in a bad condition due to the rain.

On Thursday, the sky was cloudy all day and it rained lightly. In the evening, the speed of rain increased a bit, after which it rained all night. There seems to be no relief from the celestial disaster on Friday as well. Due to the heavy rain throughout the night, people are facing problems even today. 

Water filled at many places in Delhi-NCR

There is waterlogging at many places in Delhi. Traffic jam has occurred in many parts including East and West Delhi since Thursday. Light rain has been continuing since Thursday morning in some parts of Delhi-NCR including India Gate, Janpath Road, RK Puram, Kalindi Kunj, Ghazipur, Indirapuram, Laxmi Nagar, Dwarka, Connaught Place, Noida, Safdarjung, Uttam Nagar, East of Kailash and Rohini. 

Weather Forecast: How will the weather be in Delhi for the next 6 days?

Delhi is not getting any relief from rain at the moment. According to IMD, the rain will continue in Delhi on Saturday as well. There is no possibility of rain from 15 to 17 September. It will be cloudy on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday i.e. 18 September, sporadic rain is again being predicted. 

Delhi’s speed came to a halt due to rain

Traffic on Old Pankha Road from the Uttam Nagar East Metro station’s T-point towards Pankha Road was affected due to large potholes on the road, police informed on social media platform ‘X’. 
“Traffic on GTK Road from Mukarba Chowk towards Azadpur Chowk and vice versa is affected due to waterlogging near GTK depot,” Delhi Traffic Police wrote in a post on ‘X’.

Due to rain, there was traffic jam at these places in Delhi

  • On the route from Khanpur T Point towards Mehrauli, MB Road was affected due to potholes and waterlogging. Similarly, traffic was jammed on Rohtak Road due to waterlogging. 
  • Police said that vehicular movement was affected due to work being carried out by BSES on the route from Nawada to Uttam Nagar on Najafgarh Road.
  • One passenger, Rohit Tomar, an advocate by profession, said, “There was a huge traffic jam near IHBAS hospital in Dilshad Garden. It took me half an hour more to reach Karkardooma court for the hearing of an important case.
  • Traffic jams were also reported at the Britannia flyover and near Punjabi Bagh in west Delhi and at the Mangolpuri flyover in north-west Delhi.
  • Another passenger, Gaurav Kumar, said that traffic has been affected near Haiderpur and Rohini East Metro stations.
