According to the department, very heavy rainfall is likely in Bihar, West Bengal, and Northeast India (such as Assam and Meghalaya) over the next 3-4 days. On the other hand, hot winds are expected in Andhra Pradesh and surrounding areas until July 15, while Odisha and Tamil Nadu will experience hot and humid weather. Yesterday, the department issued alerts for rain, thunderstorms, and squalls across 18 states.
