Weather Update: Heatwave predicted in North India and heavy rains expected in South, know the weather of your city

Meanwhile, many areas of Rajasthan, which have been battling severe heat for the last few days, received light rain accompanied by thunder and strong storm. Due to this, people have got relief from the heat. 

The Meteorological Department has predicted heatwave to severe heatwave conditions in some parts of western Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. It has also predicted heatwave conditions in some parts of Punjab, eastern Uttar Pradesh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic-West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha on this day.

Rain with thunder and storm in Rajasthan  

On Saturday, light rain with thunder and strong storm occurred at some places in eastern Rajasthan. Along with this, due to the change in weather, the maximum temperature has dropped by one to two degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department gave this information. According to the department, on Saturday the maximum temperature was 42.9 degrees in Karauli, 42.7 degrees in Dholpur, 42.6 degrees in Jalore, 42.2 degrees in Alwar, 42.1 degrees in Anta-Baran, 41.9 degrees in Barmer, 41.6 degrees in Churu and Vanasthali, 41.5 degrees in Jaisalmer and Chittorgarh and 41.4 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur. The maximum temperature in Ajmer, Bhilwara, Kota was recorded at 41.2 degrees and the capital Jaipur at 40.7 degrees Celsius.

Due to the effect of a new western disturbance, the state has been experiencing strong storms, cloudiness and drizzle for the past several days. The capital Jaipur also remained covered with dark clouds on Saturday evening.

Prayagraj was the hottest city in the country 

The highest temperature in the country on Saturday was recorded in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 45.2 degrees Celsius. After this, 44.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Dehri, Bihar, 43.6 degrees Celsius in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, 43 degrees Celsius in Surendra Nagar, Gujarat, 42.7 degrees Celsius in Bhiwani, Haryana and 42.2 degrees Celsius in the Ridge area of ​​Delhi. 

Heavy to very heavy rain is expected at these places 

Along with this, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains at different places in many southern states. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at different places in coastal Karnataka on 10 and 11 June. Along with this, heavy to very heavy along with extremely heavy rainfall is likely in interior North Karnataka on 09 June. At the same time, heavy to very heavy and extremely heavy rainfall is likely at different places in Madhya Maharashtra between 09 and 11 June. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected at different places in Kerala on 09 June, while heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at some places in Assam and Meghalaya on 11 and 12 June.
