According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the Israeli military operation, which began a year ago, has killed more than 42,000 Palestinians and devastated the area. The operation is aimed at eliminating Hamas terrorists.
The war began after a Hamas-led attack on southern Israeli communities on October 7, 2023. According to Israeli figures, 1,200 people were killed and about 250 people were taken hostage.
Hamas said in a statement on Saturday that Israel ‘s “massacre against civilians” was aimed at punishing residents of Jabalia for refusing to leave their homes. It also said it was a sign of Israel’s military failure to defeat Hamas. Israel has denied targeting civilians.Â
