Trump warns Canada
After Trudeau’s resignation, Trump said on Monday, “If Canada becomes part of the United States, there will be no taxes. Taxes will be much lower and they will be completely safe from the threat of Russian and Chinese ships that constantly surround them. What a great country this will be, together.”
Canada has downplayed Trump’s proposal. Trump has threatened to impose a 25 per cent tax on Canadian imports if Canada does not stop drug smuggling and illegal immigration across its southern border with the US.
