PM Modi Flags Off Amrit Bharat Express Trains Connecting Varanasi–Pune, Ayodhya–Mumbai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains, expanding rail connectivity between key cities across India.

The newly launched routes include Varanasi to Pune and Ayodhya to Mumbai, aimed at improving long-distance travel and boosting regional connectivity.

The introduction of these trains is part of the government’s broader push to modernise rail infrastructure and enhance passenger services under the Amrit Bharat initiative.

The new services are expected to benefit thousands of passengers by offering more affordable and efficient travel options between major cultural, religious, and economic centres.

The Varanasi–Pune route connects a prominent spiritual hub with a major industrial city, while the Ayodhya–Mumbai service links a key pilgrimage destination with India’s financial capital.

The launch marks another step in strengthening India’s railway network and improving connectivity across states.
