The Twisha Sharma death case has taken another important turn after a team of doctors from AIIMS Delhi arrived in Bhopal to conduct a second autopsy.
Twisha’s father, Navnidhi Sharma, expressed hope that the fresh examination would help reveal the truth and bring justice to his daughter.
The second post-mortem was ordered by the Madhya Pradesh High Court after the family raised concerns and sought a re-examination of the earlier findings.
The court stated that the decision was aimed at ensuring transparency and strengthening public confidence in the investigation process.
A four-member medical board from AIIMS Delhi has been assigned to conduct the examination.
Twisha Sharma was found dead at her matrimonial home in Bhopal earlier this month, and the case has since drawn significant public attention.
Her family has alleged harassment and raised doubts over the circumstances surrounding her death. Meanwhile, Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, has reportedly been sent to police remand as investigators continue gathering evidence.
Authorities have said that the fresh medical examination and ongoing investigation are expected to help clarify the facts of the case and address questions raised by the family.
