PM Modi reviews infrastructure projects worth over ₹30,000 crore in PRAGATI session

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the latest PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) session, where he reviewed infrastructure projects worth over ₹30,000 crore across multiple states.

According to reports, the Prime Minister examined seven key projects spanning the railway, power, and road sectors, with a focus on improving execution timelines, inter-agency coordination, and removing administrative bottlenecks.

The PRAGATI platform is an ICT-enabled governance system used by the Centre to monitor and accelerate the implementation of major infrastructure and public welfare projects across India.

During the review, PM Modi emphasised the need for timely completion of projects and stressed that delays not only increase costs but also slow down the delivery of benefits to citizens. He also assessed progress on flagship initiatives such as the Ken-Betwa river linking project and urban development programmes.

Officials said the meeting brought together senior central and state representatives to resolve pending issues and ensure faster on-ground implementation of critical infrastructure works.

The PRAGATI system has previously been used to monitor large-scale infrastructure projects worth lakhs of crores over the past decade, playing a key role in improving coordination between different levels of government.0 Likes0 Dislik
