President Murmu encourages tribal youth to lead India’s growth through education and technology

A group of beneficiaries of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs’ flagship scholarship schemes met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. Addressing the students, the President highlighted the importance of education, technology, and cultural pride in shaping a strong and self-reliant India.

President Murmu said that India is rich in talent and that young people from villages, remote regions, and tribal communities can achieve remarkable success when provided with the right opportunities and support. She noted that scholarship programmes play a crucial role in helping talented students overcome financial barriers and pursue their dreams.

Emphasising the transformative power of education, the President described it as a key instrument of empowerment that enables individuals to become self-reliant, aware, and capable. She shared that education had also played a significant role in her own journey and urged students to inspire others from similar backgrounds by achieving success and helping their communities progress.

The President called upon tribal youth to remain connected to their roots while embracing modern education and technology. She said that by combining innovation with pride in their heritage, young people can contribute significantly to nation-building and help realise the vision of a developed India by 2047. She expressed confidence that the youth would play a vital role in driving social and economic progress across the country.
