Bhilai. A major fire incident occurred on Friday in Bhilai, located in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. A massive fire broke out suddenly at the Jagdamba Foam warehouse in the Chhawani Industrial Area. The fire spread so rapidly that sofas, mattresses, and other foam-based products stored in the warehouse were engulfed. According to initial reports, goods worth lakhs of rupees have been reduced to ashes.
Reports indicate that a large quantity of foam and foam-based materials was stored in the warehouse. Upon receiving information about the fire, the fire department arrived at the scene and began firefighting operations. Controlling the blaze has proven challenging due to the presence of highly flammable materials like foam. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding areas. Police from the Chhawani station also reached the site upon being notified of the incident.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. The police and relevant authorities are investigating the matter.
