How did CM Kejriwal’s name come up in the Delhi liquor policy case? What allegations has the ED made?

Delhi liquor policy case: Now the question arises that what was Arvind Kejriwal's role in the liquor policy case and what allegations has the ED made?

Delhi liquor policy case: Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal did not get any relief from the Delhi High Court on Friday in the liquor policy case. Late in the evening, the ED team reached Arvind Kejriwal’s house with a warrant. Now the question arises that what was Arvind Kejriwal’s role in the liquor policy case and what allegations has the ED made?

This is what ED said…

Recently, ED issued a press note and called BRS leader K Kavitha a conspirator in the liquor policy case. ED said that K Kavitha conspired with Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia. Changes were made in the liquor policy and then it was implemented in her own way. In return, the liquor lobby of the South gave a lump sum of Rs 100 crore to Aam Aadmi Party. After this, 6 percent of the 12 percent commission made in the wholesale liquor business was sent back to AAP. Kejriwal’s name came up in the statements of some accused and witnesses. The agencies have mentioned this in their remand note and charge sheet.

Vijay Nair revealed secrets –

Vijay Nair, accused in the liquor policy case, had full access to the Chief Minister’s office and spent most of his time there. He used to talk a lot to Chief Minister Kejriwal. Vijay Nair told many liquor businessmen that he discusses the liquor policy with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. It was Vijay Nair who arranged the meeting of Indosprit owner Sameer Mahendru with Arvind Kejriwal. When the meeting was not successful, he arranged a video call between Sameer Mahendru and Arvind Kejriwal through the Face Time app on his phone. During the conversation, Arvind Kejriwal said that Vijay Nair is his child, trust him and cooperate with him.

This is what Raghav Magunta said…

Raghav Magunta, first accused and now witness of the South’s liquor lobby, said that his father YSR Congress MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy (MSR) had met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to know more about the Delhi liquor policy. Kejriwal had welcomed him for the liquor business in Delhi.

Former secretary made these allegations

Manish Sisodia’s former secretary C Arvind said in his statement on 7 December 2022 that in March 2021 he received a draft report of the Group of Ministers (GOM) from Manish Sisodia. When he went to Arvind Kejriwal’s house on Manish Sisodia’s call, Satyendra Jain was also present there. He saw this document for the first time because no such proposal was discussed in any meeting of the GOM and on the basis of this document he was asked to prepare a GOM report. In this report, there was a talk of giving the wholesale business of liquor to private people.
