T20 World Cup 2024 South Africa Squad Announced: South Africa has announced its team for the ICC T20 World Cup. Temba Bavuma, who was captaining the team in the ODI World Cup, has been shown the way out. Aiden Markram will captain the team in this tournament. Quinton de Kock, who has retired from ODIs, will probably play in his last T20 World Cup.
The South African Cricket Board announced the 15-member team for the ICC T20 World Cup on Tuesday, April 30. The T20 World Cup is to be organized between June 1 and 29 under the hosting of the USA and West Indies Cricket Board. Aiden Macram will be seen captaining the South African team. A total of 20 teams are participating in this year’s tournament.
South Africa’s team has been placed in Group D along with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal. South Africa’s team will start the tournament with a match against Sri Lanka on June 3. This match is to be played in New York.
