This time only 6 candidates have entered the fray against PM Modi. Initially 141 candidates had filed nominations. One withdrew. Out of the rest, only 7 could pass the scrutiny.

3. Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh

6. Diamond Harbour, West Bengal
Mamata’s nephew and TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s path to victory seems easy here. This is because the people here believe that the BJP has given ticket to a much weaker candidate Abhijit Das than Abhishek. Abhijit has also contested the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 and 2009, but could not win.
If we talk about Abhishek, he has been accepted as Mamata’s undisputed successor in the party and political circles of Bengal. Apart from these two, under the alliance with Congress, CPM has given ticket to a student leader Pratik Ur Rahman.
