Pawan Kalyan was out of the party when the Praja Rajyam Party merged with the Congress. Pawan Kalyan did not contest the elections in 2014. But he supported the TDP and BJP. In the year 2019, he contested alone. But Pawan Kalyan had to face defeat in this election.

Despite the defeat, Pawan kept moving forward. He became the voice of the people, although during this time he also had to face personal attacks. Pawan Kalyan played an important role in forming an alliance to defeat the YCP. He banned Janasena from contesting on seats. Even the party workers themselves questioned him on this. Janasena not only won all its seats, but also played a key role in defeating the YCP.
