Meanwhile, a video of Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal is going viral, in which he is speaking against Saturday and Sunday holidays. He is facing criticism on social media for this.Â
We used to have one or two holidays in a month
In this viral video, Bhavish Aggarwal is saying that he does not consider the modern thinking of work life balance to be correct. Saturday and Sunday holidays are not an Indian tradition. It is a part of Western civilization. Earlier in our country, there was no holiday on Saturday and Sunday. Our calendar was also different. On this basis, we used to take holidays, which used to be one or two every month. Weekend holidays came into our culture after the industrial revolution. However, now in the modern era, there is no need for it. If we look back a few decades, we will know that people did not ask for leave after working 5 days a week.
Anger against Bhavish Aggarwal on social media
This thinking of Ola CEO is not liked at all on social media. Expressing their disappointment, people said that he speaks western language. Wears western clothes. Uses western technology. It is because of such people that we could not develop. They want robots and we are humans. Another user wrote that tomorrow they will start considering salary as a part of western culture. They will give dal-roti in the evening and tell you to sleep here on a bedsheet. Calling it hypocrisy, a user said that clients should be from the west and holidays should be from India.
