Anti paper leak law implemented: 10 Years Jail and ₹1 Crore Fine for Paper Leaks| CSIR Exam Postponed: Shocking Reason Revealed by NTA

Anti paper leak law implemented: The law passed in February this year regarding paper leak has come into force from today. The government has issued a notification of the law.

Anti paper leak law implemented: The law passed in February this year regarding paper leak has come into force from today (22 June). The government has issued a notification of the law. After the implementation of the Public Examination Act 2024, using unfair means in public examination can lead to a punishment of three to five years and a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh.

On the other hand The circular issued by the NTA states that the Joint CSIR NET exam scheduled to be held between 25 to 27 June 2024 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and logistics issues. The revised exam date will be announced soon through the official website – csirnet.nta.ac.in.

To prevent plagiarism, it provides for a minimum of three to five years imprisonment and a jail term of five to 10 years for those involved in such organised crime. The proposed law provides for a minimum fine of Rs 1 crore.

Not everyone will be allowed entry in the exam centre

This law has been brought to deal with organised gangs, mafia and people involved in such activities. Along with this, if government officials are found involved in this, they will also be considered criminals. Any person who has not been given a public exam or related work will not be allowed entry in the exam centre.

Exam center will be suspended for 4 years

If the role of the exam center is found in any irregularity, then that center will be suspended for 4 years. This means that the center will not have the right to conduct any government exam for the next 4 years. Apart from this, if the central agency is found complicit in the malpractice in the exam, then a fine of up to 1 crore will be imposed on it. There is also a provision of jail sentence in the law.

All examinations under the scope of the law

The scope of the bill will cover UPSC, SSC, competitive examinations conducted by Railways, banking recruitment exams and all computer-based examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The Public Examinations Act 2024 states, “Leaking of question paper or answer key”, “assisting a candidate in any unauthorised manner, directly or indirectly, in a public examination” and “tampering with computer network or computer resource or computer system” are offences committed by any person, group of persons or institutions.

Let us tell you that there is a lot of controversy these days on the entrance exam NEET for admission in medical. In fact, not one or two but 67 students topped the NEET exam held on May 5, which is a shocking thing in itself. At the same time, the alleged paper leak has also been revealed. The government has brought this law to prevent irregularities in the examinations.

UGC NET: CSIR exam scheduled to be held from 25 to 27 June postponed, NTA gave this reason

The National Testing Agency on Friday announced the postponement of the joint CSIR-UGC-NET examination June-2024. This exam was to be held between June 25 and June 27. This exam is also conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It was told that the exam is being postponed due to logistical reasons. The new date will be announced on the website soon.

The circular issued by NTA states that the Joint CSIR NET exam scheduled to be held between 25 to 27 June 2024 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and logistics issues. The revised exam date will be announced soon through the official website – csirnet.nta.ac.in.

NET exam also cancelled

It is worth noting that on June 19, the central government had ordered the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam held on June 18 amid serious questions on the ‘integrity’ of the exam. They said that the NET exam was cancelled amid allegations of question paper leak in states like Bihar and other irregularities in the prestigious NEET exam. The allegations led to protests in several cities and petitions have been filed in several High Courts as well as the Supreme Court.

CBI will investigate

The Ministry of Education, after cancelling the UGC-NET examination conducted by the National Examination Agency (NTA), handed over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for investigation. The ministry said that the UGC-NET examination was cancelled because it was reported that the dignity of the examination had been compromised.

The ministry’s decision

The ministry’s decision comes amid a major controversy over alleged irregularities in the medical entrance exam ‘NEET’ (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and the issue is now in the Supreme Court. Breaking from tradition, this time the National Eligibility Test (NET) was conducted in “pen and paper mode” on a single day (18 June), in which 11 lakh students had registered for the exam.

Exam Will be conducted soon

A senior official of the Ministry of Education said that this examination will be conducted again, for which information will be shared separately. Through the UGC-NET examination, eligibility is determined for Indians for Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD in Indian universities and colleges.
