AI Course in Chhattisgarh Polytechnics: Education in Artificial Intelligence will no longer be confined to engineering colleges alone; the state government is preparing to introduce it at the polytechnic level as well. Plans are underway to launch AI-related courses in the state’s polytechnic institutes starting from the new academic session. Currently, AI courses are being conducted in CGIT institutes, and this initiative will be expanded to include polytechnics.
This move will open up opportunities for students pursuing diplomas at the Government Polytechnic in Durg to study in the rapidly growing field of AI. At present, AI-related courses are primarily found in engineering colleges and other higher technical education institutions. Introducing AI education in polytechnics will allow students pursuing diplomas after Class 10 to gain comprehensive knowledge—ranging from the fundamentals to practical applications—of this technology. This will assist students in exploring new career options in the technical sector alongside their further studies.
Polytechnics to Become Model Institutes
The government plans to develop the state’s polytechnic institutes into ‘model institutes’ by equipping them with modern facilities. A key focus of this initiative is the integration of new curricula and modern technology into technical education. Consequently, preparations are being made to upgrade polytechnics to the standards of model institutes. The Technical Education Minister recently announced this initiative, highlighting plans to introduce AI courses and transform these polytechnics into model institutes.
