Chhattisgarh Teacher Recruitment 2026: There is great news for young people aspiring to become government teachers in Chhattisgarh. The School Education Department has decided to recruit 1,654 teachers to fill vacancies in the state’s government schools. The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) issued an advertisement regarding the recruitment process on Tuesday. Under this initiative, teachers for various subjects will be appointed to government schools across the ‘E’ and ‘T’ cadres.
According to information released by the department, the recruitment process will be conducted online. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply through the official website of the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam). A detailed schedule for the application process and other guidelines will be released soon. The department has also announced the date for the recruitment examination; the teacher recruitment exam is scheduled to be held on October 25, 2026.
Recruitment across six subjects
According to the issued advertisement, teachers will be recruited for a total of six subjects under this drive. The highest number of vacancies has been allocated for the English subject. The subject-wise vacancies are as follows:
Hindi – 250 posts
Sanskrit – 300 posts
English – 504 posts
Mathematics – 250 posts
Social Science – 250 posts
Agriculture – 100 posts
Entire process to be online
The recruitment process will be entirely online. Candidates must complete all formalities—from applying to uploading necessary documents—on the CG Vyapam online portal. Details regarding the application start date, last date, exam centers, admit card release date, and other important information will be issued separately by the department.
