Divyangjan Loan Scheme: A major boon for persons with disabilities! The Chhattisgarh government will provide loans of up to ₹50 lakh at very low interest rates.

Chhattisgarh Government Scheme: The Chhattisgarh government is taking special initiatives to make persons with disabilities self-reliant. During a meeting of the Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities) Finance and Development Corporation, it was announced that beneficiaries would be provided with loans at concessional interest rates, subsidies, and vocational training. Corporation Chairman Lokesh Kawadiya stated that the government’s objective is to integrate persons with disabilities into the mainstream of society and encourage them to pursue self-employment. Under state government schemes, provisions have been made to provide loans ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹50 lakh to eligible beneficiaries.

Divyang Loan Scheme Chhattisgarh: Loans available at low interest rates

Addressing the meeting, Lokesh Kawadiya explained that the state government is providing loans at concessional rates to persons with disabilities for self-employment. Under this scheme, loans up to ₹50,000 will be offered at an interest rate of 5 percent. Additionally, the interest rate has been set at 6 percent for loans up to ₹5 lakh and 7 percent for loans up to ₹10 lakh. Depending on project requirements, loans of up to ₹50 lakh can also be sanctioned.

Benefits for timely repayment

The government has also introduced special provisions to encourage beneficiaries to repay their loans. Beneficiaries who deposit their installments on time will receive a subsidy of up to 25 percent. Furthermore, to facilitate loan repayment, a daily installment system of ₹100 has been introduced, providing relief to beneficiaries running small businesses.

Support for training and marketing

Pankaj Verma, Managing Director of the Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation, stated that the government’s aim is not merely to provide financial assistance but to transform persons with disabilities into successful entrepreneurs. To achieve this, five-day training programs will be organized, covering topics such as digital marketing, financial management, and business operations. Additionally, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with various business establishments to ensure the sale of products made by the beneficiaries. Special Showrooms to be Set Up for Products Made by Persons with Disabilities

It was also announced during the meeting that special showrooms and outlets are being established in Raipur to sell products made by persons with disabilities. Herbal soaps, garlands, and other handmade items crafted by visually impaired children and children with other disabilities were also displayed during the event, drawing appreciation from the guests present.
