Railway Special Train: There is welcome news for passengers traveling between Bilaspur, Prayagraj, and Visakhapatnam. In view of the increased passenger load, the Railways has decided to run a weekly special train between these cities, providing travelers with additional rail services and berth options.
Addressing the rising number of passengers and overcrowding on trains, the Railways has decided to operate a weekly special train between Prayagraj and Visakhapatnam. The train will make 16 trips in each direction. This service will benefit passengers traveling from Prayagraj, Bilaspur, Raigarh, and other stations along the route.
Train No. 04159 (Prayagraj-Visakhapatnam Weekly Special) will depart from Prayagraj every Friday from August 14 to November 27, 2026. It will reach Visakhapatnam after passing through various stations, including Shahdol, Anuppur, Pendra Road, Bilaspur, and Raigarh. On the return journey, Train No. 04160 (Visakhapatnam-Prayagraj Weekly Special) will operate every Saturday from August 15 to November 28, 2026.
Stoppage at Bilaspur in Both Directions
The train bound for Visakhapatnam from Prayagraj will arrive at Bilaspur railway station at 10:15 PM and depart at 10:25 PM. Meanwhile, the special train from Visakhapatnam to Prayagraj will arrive at Bilaspur at 6:00 AM and depart at 6:10 AM. Additionally, the train will halt at several other major stations along the route—such as Shahdol, Anuppur, and Pendra Road—in both directions.
Train to Run with 22 Coaches
According to the Railways, the special train will consist of a total of 22 coaches. These include five General, seven Sleeper, one AC-2, four AC-3, three AC-3 Economy, one Power Car, and one SLR-D coach. The availability of coaches across different classes will offer passengers travel options suited to their convenience and budget.

Running between Prayagraj and Visakhapatnam, this train will stop at several stations, including Manikpur, Satna, Katni, Shahdol, Anuppur, Pendra Road, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Jharsuguda Road, Sambalpur, Balangir, Titilagarh, and Vizianagaram.
