After winning the medal, Manu said that she was able to follow the path to winning the medal by getting the message of Bhagavad Gita. She also talked about following the message given by Lord Shri Krishna to Arjun, ‘Do your work and do not worry about the result’.

Manu Bhaker started crying

Manu Bhaker made her Olympic debut at the age of 18 during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. At that time, she could not even make it to the top-10 due to a technical fault in the pistol. The situation was such that Manu started crying due to poor performance. Recalling that bad phase, Manu said – To be honest, I have very bad memories related to the Tokyo Olympics. I wonder why this happened to me? What did I do wrong?

I had to move on in life

It took a long time for Manu Bhaker to leave behind the bad memories of the Tokyo Olympics. She said, “I believe that we all should forget some situations, especially when things are not in our hands. We cannot change history. What happened before was not good, but I had to find a way to move forward in my life.”

Do your work, don’t worry about the results

22-year-old Manu Bhaker recites Bhagavad Gita, one verse of which influences her a lot. After winning the medal, she said, “When I recite Bhagavad Gita, the only thing going on in my mind was, ‘Just do what you have come here to do. You cannot control destiny. In Gita, Lord Shri Krishna tells Arjun, ‘Do your duty, do not worry about the result.’ This was also going on in my mind.”

On this historic occasion of victory, Manu Bhaker’s mother Sumedha Bhaker said that now the next target is gold and we believe that it will be achieved, thank you all for the love you have shown towards Manu. She said that I had no expectations from Manu, I just wanted that wherever she goes, she should come back home happy, when Manu was in school, everyone wanted to come to the same house in which she lived.

She further said that when a woman progresses, there are people who try to pull her down, I struggled to move ahead even in my in-laws’ house, I took care of Manu’s food, I don’t want to give any message, I just want to say that she worked hard…all the players have gone there after working hard, so I want everyone to return happy.

Manu Bhaker’s mother: She prepared 10-12 hours daily

Manu Bhaker’s mother said that she used to prepare for 10-12 hours, her first home was a shooting range, she used to come only to sleep, I stayed in school for 15 years for which I did not get the support of my in-laws, my demand is that I should get a government job or something for yoga. Women are looked down upon in rural areas, so I want to do something for them.

Manu Bhaker’s mother said that Manu had very good friends but they were left behind due to lack of family support, no one can move forward without family, I did not make Manu do any work, daughters in the village want to do a lot of things but are unable to do so, the message for brothers is that they should not suppress their sisters.
