IPL 2024 KKR vs SRH: In IPL 2024, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was played at Eden Gardens on 23 March. In this match, all limits of excitement were crossed. After playing first in this match, KKR scored 208 runs thanks to Andre Russell’s stormy innings. In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s score was only 133 runs in 16 overs at one time. In the last four overs, Hyderabad had to score runs at an average of about 20 to win. Still, Heinrich Klaasen did not give up and turned the whole match around alone. Hyderabad had to score only seven runs in the last five balls, but Shahbaz and Klaasen were out. Klaasen played an innings of 63 runs with the help of 8 sixes in 29 balls. However, he could not get his team to win.

SRH captain Pat Cummins chose to bowl after winning the toss and in the beginning his team’s bowlers troubled the Kolkata batsmen. But due to Andre Russell’s storm, Kolkata’s team was able to score 208 runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad got a good start while chasing the target, but under the pressure of achieving a big score, the team kept losing wickets continuously. In the end, Heinrich Klaasen’s innings raised SRH’s hopes, but in the end they had to face a close defeat by 4 runs.

Andre Russell’s stormy innings for KKR

Philip Salt and Sunil Narayan started the innings for Kolkata Knight Riders, but Narayan returned to the pavilion after scoring only 2 runs. After that, Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer also returned to the pavilion within 28 runs. The team’s score was 4 wickets for 51 runs. Ramandeep Singh also showed his flair by scoring 35 runs in 17 balls, but his innings faded in front of Andre Russell’s storm. Russell had completed his half-century in just 20 balls. He played a stormy innings of 64 runs, hitting 3 fours and 7 sixes in his 25-ball innings. Meanwhile, Rinku Singh also contributed 23 runs in 15 balls.

Klaasen’s hard work went in vain for SRH

Mayank Agarwal and Abhishek Sharma came out to open for Sunrisers Hyderabad. This pair had taken the team’s score to 60 before the end of the sixth over, but after Mayank Agarwal was out, the team started faltering. Mayank scored 32 runs in 21 balls and Abhishek scored 32 runs in 19 balls. Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram also played innings of 20 and 18 runs respectively, but no player was able to play a big innings while handling the responsibility. The team kept losing wickets at an interval of 20-30 runs. Heinrich Klaasen definitely tried to hit big shots in the end, but the run rate had become very high.
