Weather Update: Flood in Rajasthan, 5 Feet Water in Houses, 3 Rivers in spate in Bihar; Heavy Rain Alert in 10 States

All India Weather Update: Flood-like conditions in Jaisalmer, Pali, Jodhpur, and Bihar due to heavy rains. IMD predicts heavy rains in 10 states, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, UP, MP, Assam, and Meghalaya.

Weather Update: There are flood-like conditions in Jaisalmer, Pali and Jodhpur of Rajasthan after heavy rains during the last 24 hours. 10 inches of rain was recorded in Mohangarh of Jaisalmer and 7 inches in Pokhran.

10 inches of rain was recorded in Pali and 9 inches in Jodhpur. Due to floods in Pali, more than 52 colonies of the city were submerged in water. Water is filled up to 5 feet here.

On the other hand, due to heavy rains in Bihar, flood-like conditions have arisen in many areas of Sitamarhi, Gaya, Supaul, Gopalganj. Gandak, Bagmati and Kosi rivers are in spate.

IMD has predicted heavy rains in 10 states today. These include Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

A bridge collapsed in Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district on Tuesday night at 1.30 am. During this, a truck crossing the bridge fell into the Kali river. Police said that the driver has been rescued with the help of local fishermen. Due to the collapse of the bridge, there was a traffic jam on National Highway 66 connecting Goa to Karnataka.

93 people have died in Himachal since June 27

93 people have died in rain-related incidents in Himachal Pradesh between June 27 and August 6 and the state has suffered losses of Rs 748 crore. On July 31, 16 people were killed in flash floods caused by cloudburst in Kullu, Mandi and Shimla, while 40 are still missing. 53 roads are closed in the state.

Heavy rain alert in 17 states on August 8, more than 12 cm rain in three states

The weather department has warned of heavy to very heavy rains (more than 12 cm) at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

Heavy rain (7 cm) is forecast at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region.

Haryana: Monsoon returned late night, yellow-orange alert in 11 cities; winds blowing at 40KM speed

Monsoon returned late night in Haryana after three days. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for 11 cities of the state. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in these cities – Ambala, Barada, Jagadhar, Chhachhrauli, Narayangarh, Panchkula, Kalka.

Himachal Pradesh: Alert in 10 districts today, more than 200 roads closed, monsoon will remain active for next 5 days

Most parts of Himachal Pradesh have been receiving heavy rains since last night. Due to this, more than 200 roads have been closed for traffic due to landslides at various places. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain in the remaining 10 districts except Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur.

Punjab: Heavy rain warning in 5 districts, Meteorological Department issued yellow alert

Heavy rain is expected in many areas of Punjab today on Wednesday. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for five districts of the state. However, there is a possibility of rain in other districts. On the other hand, there has been no change in the average temperature.
