CM Samrat Choudhary flags off 80 High-Tech fire vehicles in Bihar

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary flagged off 80 high-tech vehicles for the state Fire Services Department during a programme held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

The newly inducted fleet includes 36 Scorpio SUVs along with other advanced emergency response vehicles aimed at strengthening firefighting and rescue operations across Bihar.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary and minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav were also present during the flag-off ceremony.

Following the launch, fire personnel conducted a live demonstration of firefighting and rescue operations, simulating a fire incident in a multi-storey building. Rescue teams showcased emergency evacuation procedures using ladders and specialised equipment to evacuate people trapped on rooftops after controlling the blaze.

Female firefighters also participated in the mock drill, highlighting the department’s preparedness and operational capabilities.

The Chief Minister later inspected the newly inducted vehicles and reviewed various firefighting and rescue equipment displayed at the venue.

Addressing the gathering, Samrat Choudhary said Bihar’s growth depends on industrial development and stronger infrastructure. He urged people from Bihar living outside the state to return and invest in industries and businesses.

He also said the government was working to attract investments worth Rs 5 lakh crore and stressed that maintaining law and order remains a key priority for the state administration.

Officials said the addition of the new vehicles is expected to significantly improve response time, mobility and operational efficiency during fire emergencies and rescue operations across Bihar.
