He noted that they had long-standing ties with the girl’s family; they were aware of the situation yet did not intervene, intending instead to coerce the girl into the marriage. He demanded the death penalty for both Siya and Chetan. A close family member confirmed that Ketan’s grandfather, Devichand Agarwal, died of cardiac arrest on Saturday evening; he had been hospitalized for the past few days.

Meanwhile, regarding new revelations in the case, a Snapchat message sent by the accused, Siya Goyal, to her friend has come to light, in which she wrote that her wedding to Ketan was not going to take place. This message was part of a conversation between Siya and her friend. According to sources, Siya asked her friend to send a copy of her Aadhaar card to book flight tickets for the wedding scheduled in Udaipur. In the message, Siya wrote, “Send me your Aadhaar card so I can book your ticket for the wedding that is never going to happen.”
Police investigation underway
Investigators are examining whether this flight booking was part of a plan to avert suspicion regarding the murder plot and to create the impression that wedding preparations were proceeding as usual. The police are also investigating whether this was part of a larger strategy by Siya and Chetan to mislead investigators following Ketan Agarwal’s murder. A police official stated that they would question this friend of Siya’s to determine if she had any prior knowledge of the conspiracy to murder Ketan.
