CG IPS Transfer: The Chhattisgarh government has issued orders transferring 24 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers as part of a major administrative reshuffle within the police department. Under this reshuffle, Superintendents of Police (SPs) from several districts have been assigned new responsibilities, and the portfolios of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) rank officers posted in the Raipur Police Commissionerate have also been altered. According to the issued orders, IPS Umesh Gupta has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police for Bijapur. Meanwhile, IPS Mayank Gurjar has been given charge of Sukma district, and IPS Sandeep Patel has been assigned to Narayanpur district.
Additionally, SPs have been transferred in several other districts, including Baloda Bazar, Bemetara, and Surajpur. Changes have also been made to the responsibilities of DCP-rank officers posted in the Raipur Commissionerate. This administrative decision by the state government comes into effect immediately, and the concerned officers have been instructed to assume charge at their new places of posting promptly.
