Delhi Metro News: Protesters remain present at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Significant chaos and commotion were witnessed on Monday during a protest march towards Parliament. Subsequently, on Tuesday night, agitators created a major disturbance in the Jantar Mantar and Connaught Place areas. The Delhi Police is preparing to take strict action against those inciting the unrest. Meanwhile, in light of the turmoil in Delhi, a major decision has been taken: the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the closure of 16 metro stations across the city.
Which stations will remain closed?
According to available information, the Rajiv Chowk and Patel Chowk metro stations have been closed. Additionally, a decision has been made to close 16 stations in total, including Central Secretariat and Janpath. Interchange facilities will remain operational at Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat. It is worth noting that the DMRC took this decision following the massive disturbance caused by agitators near Connaught Place and Jantar Mantar last night. The DMRC stated that this decision was made for security reasons. The metro stations that will remain closed are:

CRPF Deployment
According to reports, CRPF personnel have been deployed at metro stations. CRPF troops have also been deployed along the route leading to Parliament. Delhi Police personnel have been deployed at four metro stations surrounding Jantar Mantar: Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, Patel Chowk, and Barakhamba. Police are monitoring the number of people heading to Jantar Mantar from outside the metro station.
