Raipur: Now you will have to think before putting up posters anywhere in the capital, because Raipur Municipal Corporation has fixed places in all the 10 zones for putting up posters and flexes for free in the city. A fine of Rs 5,000 will be imposed for putting posters in other public places instead of the designated place. Not only this, shopkeepers in the capital will now be able to display only the name of the establishment and the operator on their shops. It will be mandatory to take permission from the Municipal Corporation for installing any company, brand, offer, discount, LED display or other promotional material. The Municipal Corporation has announced to run a special campaign against unauthorized advertisements under the Outdoor Advertisement Policy-2024. For this, e-challan system will be implemented. The corporation has instructed shopkeepers, political parties, socio-religious organizations, educational institutions and advertising agencies to follow the rules or seek permission within a week.
So the shopkeeper will have to pay a fine of Rs 50 thousand
According to the corporation, if branding, offer, sale, discount, LED display and other promotional material of the company or brand installed on the shops without permission, a fine of up to Rs 50 thousand will be imposed on the concerned establishment. Similarly, a minimum fine of Rs 1 lakh has been fixed for unauthorized hoardings, Rs 10,000 per event for bulk advertising and up to Rs 2 lakh for aerial advertising without permission.
