Rajasthan Sanitation Worker Recruitment: The Rajasthan government has announced a major recruitment drive for the state’s youth and individuals involved in sanitation work. A total of 24,712 sanitation workers will be recruited across 183 urban local bodies in the state, including Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Municipalities. According to the government, this marks the first time such a large number of sanitation workers are being recruited directly.
Applications to Begin on August 15
Online applications for the recruitment will commence on August 15, 2026. Interested candidates can apply until September 28, 2026. Applications can be submitted online via the official website of the Rajasthan Directorate of Local Bodies or through the SSO-ID portal.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age. Notably, no minimum educational qualification has been prescribed for this recruitment; both literate and illiterate individuals are eligible to apply. However, possessing at least one year of practical experience in sanitation work with any urban local body is mandatory.
Selection Process
After applications are received, documents will be verified. Subsequently, to ensure transparency, candidates will be selected through a lottery system. A 30% reservation policy for women applies to this recruitment. Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹7,410.
