Raipur: ‘Sawan’, the holy month dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva, begins on July 30. Devotees have already started decorating and preparing Shiva temples for the occasion. During this month, a large number of devotees travel to Deoghar, Jharkhand, to seek blessings at the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple. Once again, the Railways has made special arrangements for these devotees.
Confirmed Tickets Available on ‘Sawan Special’ Train
To facilitate the travel of devotees visiting Baba Baidyanath Dham (Babadham), the South East Central Railway is operating the ‘Shravani Mela Weekly Special’ train (Train Nos. 08895/08896) between Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari and Madhupur. This special train will run for five trips in each direction between August 1 and August 30, 2026.
Railway’s Appeal
This special train is ideal for devotees wishing to visit Baba Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar) during the auspicious month of Sawan. Currently, a large number of confirmed berths are available. The Railway administration urges devotees to book their tickets in advance to secure their seats and ensure a pleasant, safe, and hassle-free journey.
